Valid ID, every visit

Every client — regardless of age, occasion, or how many times you've been in — needs a valid, government-issued photo ID at every single appointment. No exceptions, no "I forgot it but you know me." It's how we keep every service legal and every client safe.

Tattoos and minors

Short answer: no. Oregon and Washington both prohibit tattooing anyone under 18 — full stop, with or without a parent's blessing. It doesn't matter who signs what or how convincingly your kid argues their case; state law doesn't leave room for a workaround, and we're not interested in finding one. This applies to cosmetic tattoo too.

Piercing and minors

Piercing is different: in Oregon, a minor can be pierced with a parent or legal guardian's consent — but that guardian has to show up in person with their own valid photo ID and sign the consent paperwork face-to-face. No emailed notes, no texted photos of a signature, no "I gave permission over the phone." Washington studios set their own house policy on minor piercing, so if you're booking there, call ahead and ask what your specific studio requires.

Under the influence

We won't pierce, tattoo, or shape a single brow hair on anyone who's visibly under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Liquid courage is great for karaoke; it is not a substitute for informed consent. If that's where you're at when you arrive, we'll ask you to reschedule — sober, and ideally with a story you'll actually remember.

Specifics differ by studio and by service — when in doubt, reach out to your nearest studio before you book, not while you're already in the chair.
