Privacy Policy

What we collect, why, and what happens to it. Last updated August 9, 2026.

Scope

This Privacy Policy covers adornbodyart.com (the "Site") and general information practices at our three studios. We also collect certain health-related intake information as part of piercing, tattoo, cosmetic tattoo, and tooth gem services — that category is covered by our separateConsumer Health Data Privacy Policy, required under Washington law, not by this one.

Information you give us on this Site

Our consultation request form opens your own email client and sends your message — name, email, phone, preferred studio, and project details — directly to that studio's email address. We don't collect, store, or process that submission on a server or database behind this Site; it goes straight from your device to the studio you chose. If you call or email a studio directly, that studio handles your message the way any small business handles its email and voicemail.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, requests to this Site pass through our hosting provider, which may log standard technical information — IP address, browser type, and pages requested — for security and performance. We don't currently use advertising or analytics tracking cookies on this Site. If that changes, we'll update this policy.

Information collected in person, at your studio

When you visit for a service, your studio collects what it needs to serve you safely and legally — a valid photo ID, contact information, and a written consent form specific to your service. For a minor receiving a piercing in Oregon, that includes a parent or legal guardian's ID and in-person signature, per ourAge & ID Policy. Where a service involves health-related intake questions (allergies, skin conditions, medications, and similar), that information is handled under ourConsumer Health Data Privacy Policy.

Photography

We only photograph finished work for our portfolio, this Site, or social media with your separate, explicit consent, given at the time. You can decline without it affecting your service.

How we use information

We use the information above to respond to your inquiry, coordinate your appointment, provide your service safely, meet state body-art licensing and recordkeeping requirements, and — only with your consent — show the work in our portfolio. We don't use it for anything else.

How we share information

We don't sell personal information. We may share it: with the studio you're booking with (that's the point); to comply with a law, subpoena, or state health-licensing inspection; or to protect the safety of a client or staff member. Our jewelry webstore,adornbodyjewelry.com, is operated separately from this Site and has its own privacy policy — nothing you enter there is covered by this one.

Data retention

We keep information for as long as we need it to serve you and to meet state recordkeeping requirements for licensed body art services, then delete or securely destroy it.

Your choices

You can ask any of our studios what information they hold about you, request a correction, or ask that it be deleted where we're not required to keep it for legal or licensing reasons. You can also decline photography or opt out of marketing outreach at any time — just tell your studio or email them directly.

Children's privacy

This Site isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13 through the Site itself. How we handle a minor's information in connection with an in-person piercing appointment is governed by our Age & ID Policy and applicable Oregon and Washington law, not by this section.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the information you share with us, both online and in the studio. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our practices or the law changes. The version posted here is the current one.
