Community. Charity. Philanthropy: Our Views on Giving Back

Community. Charity. Philanthropy: Our Views on Giving Back

We believe that community and compassion are at the heart of everything we do. For years, we've dedicated ourselves to not only providing high-quality body art but also to supporting causes that make a difference in the lives of animals, marginalized communities, and those in need. Whether through direct donations, active participation, or our flagship annual charity raffle, Fur20, our commitment to philanthropy is unwavering.

A Legacy of Philanthropy

Giving back isn't an afterthought—it's part of our identity. Over the years, we've contributed to numerous organizations, including:

  • Animal Welfare Causes: We have proudly supported WildCat Ridge Sanctuary, The Pixie Project, NW Bulldog Rescue, Viva Rescue, and the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW), helping provide shelter, medical care, and resources to animals in need.
  • LGBTQ+ Advocacy: We've actively contributed to the Q Center, Portland Pride, and Washington Pride, ensuring LGBTQ+ individuals have access to supportive resources and inclusive spaces.
  • Local Community Involvement: As an integral part of the Portland and Vancouver communities, we've partnered with the Hawthorne Boulevard Business Association and numerous local initiatives to foster engagement and support for small businesses and community-driven projects.
  • Criminal Justice Reform: Through our donations to the Last Prisoner Project, we advocate for cannabis criminal justice reform and help support individuals impacted by outdated policies.

Fur20: Our Annual Charity Event

One of our most anticipated philanthropic efforts is Fur20, an annual charity raffle that takes place on April 20th. For over 8 years, Fur20 has raised thousands of dollars for animal welfare organizations and social justice initiatives. Each year, participants have the opportunity to win incredible prizes that include art, tattoo, and body jewelry while directly contributing to meaningful causes.

This year [2025], all proceeds will be evenly split between The International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW), The Last Prisoner Project, and Viva Rescue.

How Fur20 Works

  • Tattoo Raffle: Win custom pet portraits, flash tattoos, or even cosmetic tattooing from our talented artists at Adorn Body Art.
  • Jewelry Raffle: Thanks to sponsorships from BVLA, Anatometal, Quetzalli, and NeoMetal, this year's raffle includes over $6,000 in jewelry prizes.
  • 100% of the proceeds go to charity! Every ticket purchased makes a difference.

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Real Eve Farms for their generous contribution to this year's Fur20 Charity Raffle. Located near Harrisburg, Oregon, Real Eve Farms is renowned for its commitment to sustainable cannabis cultivation, emphasizing practices such as living soil, dry amendments, and compost teas. Their dedication to quality and environmental stewardship has earned them recognition within the industry. Their support plays a crucial role in helping us achieve our fundraising goals and make a meaningful impact on the organizations we support.

A Commitment to Continuous Giving

While Fur20 is our biggest annual event, our giving doesn't stop there. Adorn Body Art is dedicated to ongoing contributions, whether through financial support, fundraising, or volunteer efforts. Our commitment to philanthropy reflects our deep appreciation for the communities that support us and the values we uphold as a business.

We invite you to join us in our efforts, whether by participating in Fur20, supporting one of our chosen charities, or spreading awareness about these important causes. Together, we can make a lasting impact.
